DIY: Heart Shaped Elbow Pads

Hi all! This weekend I did some spring cleaning and little did I remember owning a plain J. Crew sweater.  I got it two summers ago and only put it to good use twice.  I decided to put my little crafting to the test and throw some heart shaped elbow pads. It's so easy to do and makes any dull sweater looking like new!

What you will need :
Sweater/Cardigan, Felt, Scissors, Fabric Glue and Sharpie

First thing's first! You will have to mark on the sweater in order to see where your elbow is on the fabric.  Simply place an "X" or dot to where your elbow is.

Begin cutting your felt in half so the excess does not get in your way.

Now, you can either use that half and fold it into another half and draw a semi heart. Or use a cookie cutter like I did to trace the heart shape.

 Next, cut out the heart.

If you’re happy with how it came out, go ahead and add fabric glue to the felt.

If there is excess glue, use a cotton swab to smear it.

Finally, you want to place the heart in the center of the sleeve as well as where you marked it with your marker and press it with your fingers.

And there you go! Cute heart shaped elbow patches in 15 minutes.

Hope you love!
Until next time...

A.R.
