HOW TO: Make A Bracelet In Less Than 1 Minute

Arm candy has been an ongoing trend this season.  You can't possibly go wrong with stacking different bracelets on top of each other.  The problem I have when buying bracelets for my arm candy is deciding on the right color.  However, when I do manage to find a nice bracelet, it turns out to be WAY overpriced.  I decided to share with you guys how I make my braided bracelets, and yes, like the title says, this D.I.Y. is so simple that you can do it in less than a minute!

SUPPLIES:
-yarn or string
(1 color if you want a solid colored bracelet. I used 3 different colors)

STEP 1.
*Cut 3 strands of yarn; each strand 22 inches long
STEP 2.
*Tie all 3 strands together into a knot at one end

STEP 3.
*Hold the end with the knot very tight (find this process easier if you have someone hold it for you or you can step on this end with your foot to hold it down)
*With your other hand, start twisting all 3 strands together clockwise (you'll notice a pattern forming in the stripes)
*Continue twisting the braid all the way through until you reach the end
REMEMBER: The more you twist, the tighter the string will become.  So whatever you do, DON'T LET GO!!!! You want to twist the strands together VERY TIGHT until you can't possibly twist anymore.

STEP 4.
*When you've finish twisting all the way through, use your (or someone else's) finger and place it in the middle of the braided strand

STEP 5.
*With your (or someone else's) finger still placed in the middle of the braid, match the two ends and hold them together with your finger

STEP 6.
*THIS IS WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS: release your finger that placed in the middle of the string, and watch as the 2 sections magically twist together by itself.

STEP 7.
*Tie the ends together with a knot
STEP 8.
*You'll notice that one end of the braid has a knot and the other end is closed.  Stick a finger through the end that is closed so that you can make an opening.
*Put the end with the knot through the hole and TA DA!!

So the next time you forget to buy that special someone a present, all you need is less than five minutes to make them a whole stack of bracelets!!!

Until Next Time...
H.P.
